Portsmouth, NH September 30, 2019 – Enventure was awarded a contract for eCl@ss to UNSPSC classification by a global leading producer of salts for various industries. Enventure will create the equivalent master list of UNSPSC codes for every catalogue item, with the eCl@ss codes.
The client is one of the largest producers of salt for various industries such as water conditioning, industrial, agricultural, food and ice control. The client has over 20+ production facilities across the North America region and footprint over many countries across the globe.
The objective for the client is to update their material database, so that their vendors can search for parts within punch out catalogues. In doing this, while Enventure is solving for data accessibility, the greater impact of such an exercise will be the ability for procurement personnel to have greater negotiating power, with a wider spectrum of data from across vendors.
Enventure will develop the model that can map every material item with an eCl@ss Code to the equivalent UNSPSC code. This will be accomplished by capitalizing on our AI based technology, combined with domain experts, thereby providing the classification unto the commodity level.
The client has been acquiring various mines, which has made it imperative that they have all their materials classified to one standard classification system. And given that they operate globally, the need to map one classification to another is essential, to continue business without breaking the rhythm of its stride.
